I ve dipped in and out of this humongous book, throughout the year and I ve enjoyed every bit of it Beautifully presented with the original sketch drawings Highly recommended. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the stories within this volume but I believe I would have enjoy the experience of reading themif I had read them as separate volumes rather than all at once This is not exactly the edition I have, mine is a bit harder to find, I think, but this is the closest I could find here on Goodreads..I was fortunate enough to find a hardcover collection of all of the Sherlock Holmes stories that appeared in The Strand Magazine, fascimile copies with all of the original illustrations by Sidney Paget I had only read one or two Sherlock Holmes stories, and I think like most people nowadays, I wasfamiliar with the popularized notion of Mr Holmes I want This is not exactly the edition I have, mine is a bit harder to find, I think, but this is the closest I could find here on Goodreads..I was fortunate enough to find a hardcover collection of all of the Sherlock Holmes stories that appeared in The Strand Magazine, fascimile copies with all of the original illustrations by Sidney Paget I had only read one or two Sherlock Holmes stories, and I think like most people nowadays, I wasfamiliar with the popularized notion of Mr Holmes I wanted to read all of the works, Beginning with A study in Scarlet , and running right through the Returns, and even the related stories where Sir Conan Doyle and others gently lampooned his famous
