In His Highly Praised First Novel, Boys Like Us, Peter McGehee Introduced A Wonderfully Zany Cast Of Characters Living In Contemporary Toronto, All Friends And Ex Lovers Of Zero McNoo, A Young Gay Man From Arkansas Sweetheart Picks Up Their Story One Year Later, As Zero S Life Is Further Complicated When His Cousin S Teenaged Daughter Moves In. Overall, I didn t super connect to the characters but I thought it was well written and a very meaningful story Definitely worth a read but, for me, not something I ll keep on my bookshelf. Such a sweet sequel to Boys Like Us such a wonderful evocation of Toronto s gay lesbian history in the days before LGBTQ and such courage as McGehee envelopes us in the lives and times of zero MacNoo, his friend and
