Conversations After a Burial

Conversations After a Burial Simon Weinberg Is Dead And, On A November Morning, Six People Gather At His Funeral Brothers And A Sister, Lovers And In Laws Mourning Allows Them A Special Privilege And, For A Few Hours, They Are Isolated In Another World Under A Lingering Sun, In The Shadow Of The Deceased.Written By The Winner Of The Award Winning Art, Conversations After A Burial Is A Savage But Richly Comic Play Which Explores That Ineffable Moment Of Mourning, When The Newly Deceased Is Still Almost Palpable, The Moment In Which One Can Maintain The Memory Of A Breath, The Intense Pause Between Absence And The Return To Everyday Existence, Between Loss And Life. . Oh, Yasmina Reza, I love you so All her plays are so clever I m saving Life x 3 because I m too convinced this woman can do no wrong. Another quality play by my favorite female contemporary novelist Yasmina Reza is a very serious writer who takes her dialogue seriously She never misses a note in her composition I do prefer her novels and memoir to her dramatic work, but she is better than most with her work for the stage. Yasmina Reza s writing has always fascinated me ever since I saw, and later read, Art In Conversations, she shows again her wit as a writer and her ability to create wonderful characters that develop and reveal themselves as the story evolves I d love to see it on stage sometime. Hating the pretentious ART, I began reading this play for hating it, but there is something else going on in this fascinating text If ART tries to imitate Becket s works, CONVERSATIONS AFTER A BURIAL is a pure Pinteresque venture
